About Me

Glasgow’s Queen of Flapjacks!

#doula
#glasgow

I live in the Southside of Glasgow with my husband and two daughters. I was blessed with natural home births myself which I feel is largely thanks to the support and information I received from my own Doula Mother. Whilst a natural birth isn’t possible for everybody and not every woman would want a home birth, I am passionate about supporting and enabling women to have the best birth experience possible, whether this is at home or in hospital, with medical pain relief or Hypnobirthing, whatever feels right for the mother. The most important factor I believe, is providing women with the knowledge and confidence to make the right decisions for themselves.

I grew up in London as the eldest of 4. I qualified as an engineer and worked in the shipbuilding industry but in my late twenties realised that this was not what I wanted to be doing. Since then I have worked as a high ropes instructor and healthcare support worker within the NHS and privately and have completed my first year of nurse training. My own birth experience sparked my interest in birth, I trained with Kikki Hansard at Birth Bliss Academy in 2018 and finally in doulaing I feel I have found my vocation.

In my spare time and love exploring Scotland on foot or by bike and getting as muddy as possible!
